North Wales Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery at the Squire Yorke public house, Sontley Road, Wrexham, during the early hours of this morning (Wednesday 17th August).

Three men wearing hoods and with their faces partially covered forced two female bar staff, who were leaving the pub at about 12.30am, back into the building and to open the safe.

No weapons were used and no one was seriously injured, but cash was stolen. The amount stolen is not being disclosed.

Detective Inspector Simon Williams said: “Although the women were not injured, it was clearly a frightening experience. The investigation is on going and w

e would like to reassure the community that we are doing everything possible to find those responsible. We are appealing to anyone who may have seen people in the area at that time or who has information related to the incident to contact Wrexham CID immediately.”
