Phil Roberts has been in touch to say “its not every day a Wrexham lad gets a letter from the Prime Minister!”

Phil received the letter because he was a “GamesMaker” at the London 2012 Olympics. He explained ” I had the role of handing out uniform to thousands of people. While I was down there I experienced the atmosphere of the greatest games in recent times and also met some incredible people, which included Danny Boyle, the director of the opening ceremony.”

Click for bigger version – Phil did say “As much as I vote labour it is still a privilege to receive it”.

“It was an experience that may never happen again and to receive a letter off the PM has really made it all worth while.”

Last week we wrote about a gamesmaker – Pam Rigby – who works locally at Yale as a Youth Co-ordinator.
