Original report: Tuesday night

Late last night Wrexham.com received a number of reports of an incident in Plas Madoc.

Several residents have been in touch saying armed police response units were on the estate at around 10pm, alongside eight police cars and the ambulance service.

Alwen Road was closed off with what was described to us as ‘armed police walking around’ with restrictions in place for people entering or exiting the area.

Local reports, that we stress are unconfirmed, have suggested that someone was stabbed.

Yesterday afternoon we reported how a man carrying knives was arrested in Acrefair, however there is no indication that these incidents are related.
