Personal Statement: I am passionate about Clwyd South. We live in a fantastic constituency, with real potential. I want to help build our industries, develop our infrastructure, and grow our local businesses so our region can thrive. I will be an effective, responsive, local MP, working for local people and making sure our voice is heard loudly and clearly. I offer you hard work, commitment, and integrity.

By profession, I‘m a self-employed barrister and have practised commercial law for over 12 years. I’m proud I was the first person in my family to go to university. My parents made sacrifices for me and my sister so we could benefit from opportunities they never had. I understand the importance of aspiring for a better life for your children.

I am not a career politician. I have a career and a life outside politics. But I realize that you have to be involved and take action. You have to stand up for what you believe in instead of just shouting at the television.

I believe in:
Everyone having access to the same opportunities, regardless of background.
Personal responsibility so people have freedom to build their own lives.
Our country, its place in the world, and the importance of keeping us safe in an ever more perilous world.
Looking after those most in need without creating a destructive culture of dependency.

Above all, I believe that none of this can be achieved without a strong, stable economy, built on sure foundations. Five years ago, there was quite simply ‘no money left’. As a result of Conservative policies, we’re getting Britain back on track and learning to live within our means. We are heading in the right direction but we need to stay the course. Let’s not risk chaos – let’s stay on the path to prosperity.
