Coleg Cambria shortlisted for SEMTA finals

Coleg Cambria has been named a finalist in the Training Partner of the Year Award (sponsored by Rolls-Royce plc) at the Semta Skills Awards 2018 (Science, Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies).

The finalists and winners will be announced at the awards ceremony hosted by BBC journalist, presenter and engineering advocate Steph McGovern and keynote speaker Anne Milton, Minister of State for Apprenticeships and Skills and Minister for Women on Thursday 1st March 2018 at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, London.

Hundreds of entries were received, with Coleg Cambria amongst the prestigious few who made the shortlist.

Assistant Principal and Director of Curriculum for Engineering and Construction at Coleg Cambria, Nick Tyson, said:“Industry, both nationally and internationally, have the faith in Coleg Cambria to deliver first class skills results.

“To be awarded the honour of being a finalist in the SEMTA Training Partner of the Year 2018 Award provides us with a further endorsement of this.

“Inspire, Innovate and Succeed are a key focus for all at Cambria and for SEMTA to recognise the many aspects of this linked to Engineering and Manufacturing training is a tremendous accolade for staff, apprentices and employers linked to Cambria.”
