Phil has been taking pictures of motorcyclists up on the Horseshoe Pass as part of his business.

A Llangollen based photographer is looking to provide people across Wales with a unique events photography service.

Phil Hughes, 42, who lives in Acrefair has been taking photos as a hobby since he was 16, but is hoping to turn his hobby into a livelihood this year with the launch of a mobile photography studio.

Phil, who runs Llangollen Images, has been contacting events organisers in the area to offer his services over recent months.

He explained: “The way my company works is that I offer my services to an event, usually free of charge, and turn up on the day and set up my stall before going round taking pictures of people taking part in the event.

“I then flyer them and send them over to my site where they can buy pictures of themselves, an A4 picture usually costs about a tenner.

“The pictures arrive on their door in about two days as I have a deal set up with Photo Box who print my photos and send them out to people for me”

Phil is a big motor racing fan and has already had some success taking pictures of motorcyclists up near the Ponderosa on the Horseshoe Pass, he said:

“I went to a big motorbike meet up there recently and too pictures of a few people on their bikes.

“One man from Stoke saw me photographing him and went on the website and bought it.”

He’s now had several offers of work, and has even had his pictures included in a sheepdog trials publication.

Phil will also be taking pictures of entrants in the UK’s second largest bike race which will take place across Wrexham in October and is estimated to have 3,500 participants.
